LOL

Well, well, I never know I would live to do this, but I'll bet none of you have ever done this, OR will EVER do such a crazy thing.

Yup, this is another "milestone", as it is the first time in my life I did it, but hopefully, will not need to do it again!

So what I did arrr?

Well... due to possible prosecution or legal lawsuits, I will not name any name or place, but I will just describe what I did... LOL

So what I did arrr? LOL

Well... it's totally crazy, and funny, at the same time, but I actually crashed through a metal gate with the butt of my car. There were a few scratches here and there, and a slight dent, but apart from that, lights, bumper, everything else were ok.

The motive... ahh...

Well, if under normal circumstances, I would never do such a thing. It was, because I was forced to. Not under a threat from someone else, but well, some stupid idiot locked my car in! I was desperate... it was almost 3am. And I had to get my car back. Anyways, my house keys were in the car too. Initially, I thought of climbing in (which I did) and get my house keys only. But then again, I need my car back!

ANYWAYS, serves the idiots right. It was quite a pretty nice gate, all metal. I didn't plan to crash the gate initially. I just wanted to reverse slowly and break the chain with a lock that is locking the gate. But after a few unsuccessful tries, I reversed with more speed and finally... CRASH!!! The whole gate broke into smaller parts and the chain above didn't break! LOL

What the heck, and what a night. Oh well...

The World's Most Expensive Cities for Expatriate Employees

I'm back again with more surveys :)

So guess which cities are in the Top 5?

You'll be surprised at the Most Expensive City in the World for both 2005 and 2006...

It's Moscow, Russia. Unbelievable huh? I would really wonder why would anyone want to go there to work. Bigger money there? Hmmm... But it's not surprising to know that Russia has the second highest suicide rates in the world. But it makes me wonder why Lithuania has the world's highest suicide rates... Hmmm...

Second is Seoul, South Korea. Yup, I know about that. Even Pastor Cho Yonggi's church - Yoido Full Gospel Church has so many billionaires out of their 800,000 over church members! Phew... It is the world's largest church, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records. I won't be surprised if the whole nation of South Korea embraces Jesus as their Lord and Saviour in 50 years' time, at the rate it is growing. Praise God for that :)

Third is Tokyo, Japan. Yup, I know that. Lots of people commit suicide every year. It is number 10 in the world, in terms of suicide rates. 2 cities in Japan are in the Top 10 of the Most Expensive Cities (Osaka ranked #6).

Fourth is Hong Kong... yup, expensive city. Stayed there for 3 nights in 2006 and already enough to know that... hahahah...

Fifth is London, UK. Duh... As if nobody know that yet... But when those expats come back to Malaysia, man... they are bloody rich!

Switzerland actually have 2 cities (Geneva & Zurich) in the Top 10, ranked #7 & #9 respectively. But their quality of life is one of the best in the world. That's better. Value for money.

Copenhagen, Denmark is #8 most expensive.

US has 6 cities in the Top 50, with New York City being the most expensive ranked at #10, tied with Oslo, Norway. But US also has the most cities in the Top 50 Quality Living. So that's still ok. Value for money. Following NYC are Los Angeles (#29), San Francisco (#34), Chicago (#38), Miami (#39) and White Plains (#43). White Plains? Never heard of, but after wiki-ing, it's actually an edge city of NYC. NYC has 19 edge cities! Wow... but the most edge cities in the world is LA - a total of 23 edge cities! Phew...

Singapore is ranked #17. Not a surprise.

Malaysia is ranked #114. Also, not a surprise.

But I dunno why Jakarta is at #48. Huh? When I looked at the criteria they used to conduct this survey, I realised that the exchange rate of the country's currency is not the only factor used in this survey, but other factors like monetary value, consumer confidence, investment, interest rates, housing costs, etc. Hmmm... talking about housing costs, I can understand now why Jakarta is #48. I mean, the whole place is so damn packed! It's the 9th most densely populated city in the world. Already got 8.8 million people in 2004. I'm pretty sure the cost of houses there is like crazy! Sheesh... I can't imagine how shopping in the weekends is like over there... confirm HAVOC!
Wake-up call
Yup, as a Christian, we all need wake-up calls once in a while. Even if you are currently "on fire" or think that you are doing fine, be careful, cos even the Word of God said in 1 Cor 10:12 that "So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall!"
Sometimes, we get distracted by many things in life, like work, challenges, disappointments, ...
Sometimes, we forget our identity... who we are in Christ...
Sometimes, we forget our calling, our God-given visions...
Sometimes, we forget how much we need Him everyday, not just once-a-week kinda thingy...
Sometimes, we forget how to get back, or don't have a clue how to revive our passion for Him...
Well, I think, that's why we have people like Pastor Matt Fielder, Pastor Neil Smith and the Planetshakers band to charge us up again, and to fan the flame that is dying in us, the fire and passion for God and His Kingdom.
Yup, they were here in my church last weekend and they were just awesome people of God. I cried, during the ending part of the second service, because God touched my hardened & pride-filled heart. God is a miracle-working God, and the greatest miracle that I NEED right now, is not a financial breakthrough, or anything else, but a miracle TURNAROUND in my walk with Him. Where is Jesus in my life? What happened to His vision to me?
Well, thank God for that wake-up call, and I thank God that I have finally COMPLETED my plans!!! Yup, a plan that took me ages to complete. Now, is the EXECUTION part that I have to play my part.
It is a really simple plan. I mean, sometimes we make super-complicated plans and end up dunno how to execute it... hahaha...
So this is a real simple plan... all I need to do is to establish my LIFE VISION.
My life vision is one that God has given to me, that is to be a MILLIONAIRE. And from that vision, I will fund the Kingdom of God. I want to give more than anyone had ever given to the Kingdom of God. I might not be a good evangelist, but I can give to the efforts of evangelism, like organizing mega-concerts and events.
To achieve this vision, I have 3 main plans:
1. Through properties
2. Through the stockmarket - after I already have 3 properties (2 landed).
3. Through a stable job as a nutritionist (and I need to achieve higher qualifications for bigger jobs. So I need to go to US to get my Masters Degree and PhD)
Those are long-term goals.
I also have short-term goals:
1. Clear all my credit card debts
2. Plan my marriage
3. Plan my going to the US
4. Continue my "fighting fit" plans
5. Higher education - TOEFL, GRE, Nutrition, Spanish
Friends, hobbies and belongings (car & house) will be secondary to all the above, but not neglected completely
AND, ANYTHING, I mean it, ANYTHING that does not fall into any of the above, or would prevent/slow-down/affect me from achieving my LIFE VISION and short-term goals is RUBBISH. There are lots of rubbish in my life right now, like dota. I mean, to be honest... WHAT IS THE WHOLE POINT in being good in dota, or spending so much time in playing computer games? How does that contribute to the Kingdom of God? So it will definitely NOT be EASY to get rid of all the RUBBISH in my life. But I know I have to. It's not "I have to". I WILL and I MUST! Grrrrraaaargggghhhh!!! Time to be passionate about God again, and STOP being passionate about other worldly stuffs.
¡DESPIÉRTESE!!!
